Deposit Account Changes

Dear Valued Customer,
We are getting closer to bringing you a new banking experience with the conversion to the Republic Financial Holdings Limited’s (RFHL) technology platforms. When the systems go live April 4, 2022, your deposit account is one area where you will see changes reflected.

Here is some important information for you:

New Bank Account Number: We will contact you directly to provide you with your new account number by e-mail. This information can also be provided during card collection at the branch or offsite card collection centre.

Collection of replacement debit cards: Debit cards are available for collection kindly visit your branch or offsite location to pin and collect your new card. Please view our Facebook page and website for updates.

Your Personal Identification Number (PIN): Debit card holders are reminded that you will need to input your PIN when going to collect your card. Also please note there is no need to visit your branch or ATM to activate your new debit cards as they will be activated automatically once the system goes live. You can utilise your existing PIN for your replacement debit card.

Conducting Over the Counter/ Point of Sale & ATM Transactions: When using your debit card to conduct over-the-counter purchases, Point of Sale & ATM transactions you will be prompted to select the account type of your preferred account (Chequing or Savings) to complete your transaction. Please Note-you would not be required to select the account type at some merchants.

Credit card payments using debit cards: Customers are advised that debit cards can no longer be used to make a direct credit card payment via the ATM. If you wish to make a payment to your credit card, the following two options available to you:

  • Cash withdrawal can be performed using your debit card and then using your credit card a cash payment can be made at the ATM.
  • Credit card payments can be completed using RepublicOnline EC and the RepublicMobile App.

How can you prepare for the change?
While your new account numbers will not be activated until the new system goes live on April 4, 2022, it is important for you to advise any stakeholders with whom you regularly conduct banking transactions, of the change to your account number(s) information so that all necessary preparations can be made.
